On his road to the presidency, President Trump made many promises to the American people. One of which was that on “Day One” he would get us out of the Trans-Pacific Partnership and renegotiate NAFTA. Both of these agreements have concerned this writer as they not only take monies away from America, but they take away American jobs and undermine our American judicial system.
“If I win, day one, we are going to announce our plans to renegotiate NAFTA. [Greensboro, NC, 10/14/16]”
“Therefore, on the first day of my term of office, my administration will immediately pursue the following six measures to clean up the corruption and special interests collusion in Washington. … On the same day I will begin taking, and really taking strongly seven actions to protect American workers. … Second, I will announce our withdrawal from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a potential disaster for our country. [Gettysburg, PA, 10/22/16]”
In keeping with his promise, President Trump announced, on day one of his presidency …
“WASHINGTON — Soon after President Donald Trump was sworn in, his administration announced the U.S. withdrawal from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a trade pact championed by former President Barack Obama and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
The White House on Friday also wasted no time in declaring a renegotiation of the North Atlantic Free Trade Agreement, or NAFTA. Trump is expected to take a more isolationist, protectionist stance, and the international community is concerned that the U.S. will continue to draw inward.”
This is something this writer can agree with!
Oorah to President Trump you are a true American Patriot!
