Will Christ Return in 2024?

In researching the two solar eclipses‘ that will traverse southeast Missouri in the next seven years, it made this writer think, if these are the signs of the begining and end of the Tribulation, then, according to His word, Christ will return and rule for a thousand years! So I started researching the timeline between 2017 and 2024. I am not the only one that has this “theory” …

2017 To 2024 Tribulation Theory

[This is just a THEORY.  If the Church was meant to know the dates of the Tribulation with certainty we would know by now.  So far date speculation has been 100% wrong, because it is just that – speculation.  So take this with a grain of salt.  We refuse to buy into the “Thus saith the LORD” crowd when it comes to rapture/Tribulation/Second Coming dates:  Matthew 24:36, Mark 13:32.  HOWEVER, we also refuse to buy into the logic used by the mockers who say it’s useless to research and watch.  Jesus did say we cannot know the day or hour, but He also IMPLORED us to watch for the signs and to know the season: Luke 12:56, Matthew 24:42, Luke 21:36, Matthew 25:13, 1 Thessalonians 5:4.  He gave a laundry list of signs to watch for in the gospels, as did Peter and Paul in the epistles, and John in Revelation.]

The Washington Post writes of the above author:

“In certain religious communities, the talk surrounding the eclipse has to do with a different sort of preparation. Gary Ray isn’t worried about just travel plans and adequate eye protection. He’s focused on the Rapture.

Ray, a writer for the evangelical Christian publication Unsealed, views this eclipse as one of several astronomical signs that the day when Christians will be whisked away from the Earth is fast approaching.

“The Bible says a number of times that there’s going to be signs in the heavens before Jesus Christ returns to Earth. We see this as possibly one of those,” Ray said about the eclipse.

He is even more interested in another astronomical event that will occur 33 days after the eclipse, on Sept. 23, 2017.

The Book of Revelation, which is full of extraordinary imagery, describes a woman “clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head” who gives birth to a boy who will “rule all the nations with an iron scepter” while she is threatened by a red, seven-headed dragon. The woman then grows the wings of an eagle and is swallowed up by the earth.

Ray says that image will be created in the sky on Sept. 23. The constellation Virgo — representing the woman — will be clothed in sunlight, in a position that is over the moon and under nine stars and three planets. The planet Jupiter, which will have been inside Virgo — in her womb, in Ray’s interpretation — will move out of Virgo, as if she is giving birth.

Astronomers don’t see this as a particularly unusual event. But to Ray and others, it could be the sign that the Rapture is ready to happen: “We think it’s God signaling to us that he’s about to make his next move.”

“And Ray thinks the two eclipses that are slated to travel across the United States in 2017 and 2024, together marking an X across the nation, could be the starting and ending signs bookmarking a seven-year period of awful tribulations that Revelations says waits in store for nonbelievers who are left behind on Earth when the Rapture occurs.

“That time frame is speculative, 2017 to 2024. But it makes a lot of sense. There are a lot of things that really point us to that,” he said.”

2017 To 2024 Tribulation Theory

“The video at the end of this blog explains some of the information presented in these articles, but of course it becomes a moot point if the Tribulation doesn’t begin this fall.  In addition the author of the video suggests the Rapture of the Church would be on an exact day during the middle part of the Tribulation period, (Pentecost 2021). This goes against the direct admonishment from God that no man knows the day or hour of Jesus return.  So if you can disregard some of the more glaring incongruities, the remainder of the video is still quite interesting.
So sit down with your morning coffee or tea and give these articles a read and the video a watch. Something to consider for the months to come.”

I suggest, if one is interested in this theory, that they grab their ‘coffee’ and head on over there, as there is LOTS of good information. Below is the video, as well as another that I discovered.

This author has to state, as a Virgo woman that has moved into the woods of southeast Missouri and this year turned 61 (6+1=7) that these signs are VERY interesting!

This writer, like the above authors, is not a ‘date’ setter, I am simply ‘proffering‘ the theories. But one has to look at all the ‘evidence’ that seems to be piling up! To ignore it would be wrong, especially to be a resident of this unique area!
