In researching President Trump’s 2020 election filing, I came across the below article that says that the president will be changing his campaign slogan from “Make America Great Again” to “Keep America Great!”
“Donald Trump plans to update his ubiquitous campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again,” when he seeks reelection in 2020, he says, to “Keep America Great!”
“‘Keep America Great,’ exclamation point,” the president-elect told The Washington Post in an interview published Wednesday, during which he also requested that his lawyer trademark and register the phrase, with and without the punctuation mark.”
While reading some of the Twitter comments about President Trump filing for the 2020 elections, the day of his inauguration, I couldn’t help but think how ‘divided‘ our nation is. In fact, in this writers lifetime, I have never seen our nation so divided! There are a few things I believe that one can blame this on. First there is the fact that America, partially because of loss of jobs, as well unchecked immigration and unconstitutional laws that grows big government has morphed a healthy middle-class to a welfare nation. Secondly, and most importantly, God has been removed from our nation. Not only was God removed from the democrat platform in 2012, but He has been removed from our school systems!
“This is the paragraph that was in the 2008 platform:
“We need a government that stands up for the hopes, values, and interests of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential.”
Now the words “God-given” have been removed. The paragraph has been restructured to say this:
“We gather to reclaim the basic bargain that built the largest middle class and the most prosperous nation on Earth – the simple principle that in America, hard work should pay off, responsibility should be rewarded, and each one of us should be able to go as far as our talent and drive take us.”
…“On June 25, 1962, the United States Supreme Court decided in Engel v. Vitale that a prayer approved by the New York Board of Regents for use in schools violated the First Amendment by constituting an establishment of religion. The following year, in Abington School District v. Schempp, the Court disallowed Bible readings in public schools for similar reasons. These two landmark Supreme Court decisions centered on the place of religion in public education, and particularly the place of Protestantism, which had long been accepted as the given American faith tradition. Both decisions ultimately changed the face of American civil society, and in turn, helped usher in the last half-century of the culture wars.”
Mark 3:24-26 (KJV)
24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
To ‘heal’ our nation, it is clear, we must invite God back in! But does this also mean that we must ‘cast out the beast’?
Luke 8:30-32 (KJV)
30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.
31 And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.
32 And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.
Because of this division in our nation, this writer often worries about Civil Revolution and rightly so!
“Is America starting a period of a Civil Revolution? Ideological differences are seemingly tearing this country apart. Racism still exists. Class warfare is a hot button issue. Who is paying for what: taxes, immigration, healthcare seems to what everyone is talking about today. There’s just so many to list. Donald Trump even looks like he might win the Republican Primary bid. Most people would not think that would be a serious statement if it was written a year ago. People are fighting outside campaign rallies and protesting. Even Trump himself has told CNN that, “I think we have a very divided country”. When people start throwing punches at rallies, there is a problem. It doesn’t matter who instigated it, but it needs to be stopped.”
So in looking at President Trump’s 2020 campaign slogan, does it come as any surprise that this was also the title of the 2016 movie The Purge: Election Year – Keep America Great
Clearly, this writer is not the only one that thinks that there is ‘something’ going on!
